Rainy River First Nation is exporting it's fishing expertise to other parts of North America.

The community is has been working with a group from Alabama to re-introduce sturgeon into their waterways.

Chief Jim Leonard says they started 22 years ago and has been expanding ever since.

The band has since worked with communities in northern Minnesota and northern Manitoba, and most recently with the Dalles (Dolls) First Nation north of Kenora to grow the sturgeon population.
