Fort Frances Muskies boys hockey team's perfect season in NorWOSSA has come to an end.

The Muskies dropped a 4-2 decision yestesrday to the Dryden Eagles, a game played at Eagle Lake.

Connor Nelson and Caleb Bruyere scored for the Muskies who are now 9-1 in league play.

 

Fort France Muskies girls hockey team blanked Kenora's Beaver Brae Broncos 18-0.

They play in Sioux Lookout on Sunday.

 

International Falls Broncos girls hockey team is on to the semi-finals of the Section 7A championship, after a 3-1 win over Moose Lake last night.

The Broncos now face Proctor-Hermantown on Saturday.

Meantime, the Broncos boys hockey team lost to Greenway 6-2.

 

Fort Frances Canadians AA midget team is in tournament action state side.

They're at the Twin Ports Junior Gold B tournament taking place in both Superior, Wisconsin and Duluth.

The Canadians open play with a game this morning against Thunder Bay's Westfort Rangers.

 

Thunder Bay's Dylan Johnston, with Devlin's Mike Badiuk playing third, split games yesterday to sit 3-1 at the Northern Ontario Men's Curling Assocation playdown in Little Current.

His rink is now in a tie for third with Dustin Montpellier of Copper Cliff.

Defending champ Brad Jacobs leads at 4-0.

 

Fort Frances Muskies court teams ended their regular season with three wins in Dryden.

The Muskies junior boys baskestball team beat Dryden 60-31.

Mike Vanderaa led with 9 points.

In girls volleyball, the senior team won in straight games while the juniors dispatched their opponents in five.

The senior boys basksetball team lost 89-74 in their match-up with the Eagles with Kobi Ward scoring 22.
