A group of Metis youth are on the next leg of this journey across Ontario.
About a dozen Metis ambassadors have been travelling by Canoe this summer and reached Fort Frances Wednesday.

Samantha Cuddy of Oakville adds the trip has allowed them to learn more about their heritage and educate others about it.
The group is expected to reach Kenora next week in time for a Metis Youth Leadership Council gathering.
The Metis youth have some special passengers with them.
Wynne says she's excited about the opportunity, noting the importance of building relations with Indigenous youth.
Wynne is actually on vacation, recently spending a few days on Lake of the Woods as well.
