Andrew Scheer was not the favourite of many Conservatives across northwestern Ontario who cast ballots in Saturday's leadership vote.

Scheer did come out on top in the Thunder Bay-Rainy River riding though garnered most of his support after other candidates were dropped from the ballot in the late rounds.

Quebec MP Maxime Bernier had garnered most of the support until then.

Bernier finished first in voting in both the ridings of Kenora and Thunder Bay-Superior North, topping the polls in each of the 13 rounds of votings in both ridings.
