The head of the Ontario Progressive Conservatives isn't surprised by the creation of the fringe Northern Ontario Party.
Speaking in Thunder Bay last week, Patrick Brown feels his party will better represent the region highlighting his track record.
He says he been to this area about 30 times, and is excited about what can be done.
Brown says the separatist party was able to be created because there is a real disappointment with Queen's Park.
But he points to a recent by-election in Sault Ste. Marie where voters selected PC's Ross Romano to represent them.
The Northern Ontario Party did not have a candidate in that election.
