An opportunity for women who may be considering running for political office in the near future.

A panel session is planned for February 7 at Confederation College in Fort Frances.

It is in part sponsored by the Paro Centre for Women's Enterprise and the northwestern Ontario group Women in Politics.

Fort France councillor Wendy Brunetta helped get it organized.

She says when she first thought about running for office four years ago, she found it difficult finding information.

Brunetta says some was aquired by speaking the town clerk, but learned a lot since then.

Brunetta, along with fellow Councillor June Caul and long-time Thunder Bay City Councillor Rebecca Johnson will be on hand to provide advice and ask questions.

"Some of the things we're going to talk about is making the decision to run, what you need to consider, planning your campaign, and then live in public office.

Those interested need to pre-register through Paro's or the Women in Politics' websites.
