Opposition is quick with its response to the budget.
PC Leader Patrick Brown says the Liberals are misleading the public by stating the books are balance.
He claims Ontario is actually carrying a $5-million deficit.
Brown says Ontario families will continue to pay more and get less.
The NDP is also critical of the budget.
Leader Andrea Horwath says it doesn't come close to undoing the damage Premier Kathleen Wynne and her Liberals have done over the past 14 years.
She notes it commits to a further privatization of Hydro One, and the increase in hospital funding falls $300-million short of what they need.
