Thunder Bay Kings AAA peewee team shut out the Dryden Paperkings 2-0 to claim the regional AAA championship in Thunder Bay, winning the series two games to one.
The Dryden team was supplemented by a number players from the Fort Frances Canadians AA team.
The Kings also won the midget title over the Kenora Thistles in two straight games, capped by a 2-1 win yesterday.
Five players from Fort Frances were among members of the Thistles.
Fort Frances Lakers earned a couple of points in their final home games of the regular season.
The Lakers fell 4-3 in the shootout Friday to Dryden then lost 2-1 in overtime to Thief River Falls on Saturday.
The Lakers open the playoffs this Wednesday in Red Lake against the English River Miners.
Rainy River Voyageurs men's baseball team wrapped up their Florida spring training, splitting a pair of games yesterday.
They first edged Cannonniers Academy out of Quebec 2-1, but were blanked by Florida's TNXL Academy 5-0.
The Voyageurs finished the trip with a 3-5 record.
Rainy River Voyageurs women's softball team is playing under the dome at Rosemount, Minnesota this week, starting with a trio of games today.
They've facing Rochester, Lake Region State and Riverland.
