The provincial government is promising another $20 million this year to build and maintain forest access roads in northwestern Ontario.

Natural Resources Minister Kathryn McGarry says it's one of the things government can do to help forest companies dealing with new U.S. tarriffs on Canadian Softwood lumber.

McGarry says overall, the provincial government will be spending $74-million on forest access roads over the next year.
